The skilled Worker Category of British Columbia is divided into two categories which are BC PNP Express Entry Skilled Worker and BC PNP Skill Immigration Skilled Worker. British Columbia Express Entry Skilled Worker Category
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Express Entry Skilled Worker category allows candidates in the federal Express Entry pool who also have a job offer in BC to obtain Canada PR.
Applicants who are successful in the British Columbia Express Entry Skilled Worker category receive a BC PNP provincial nomination certificate. When this is uploaded to the Express Entry profile, 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points are awarded, and an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.

What is the Skill Immigration Registration System?
The Skills Immigration Registration System, or SIRS, is a one-of-a-kind system used by the BC PNP to rank and select candidates with the ability to settle permanently in the province. Eligible candidates must first create a profile in this system. Candidates are assigned a score based on a combination of factors, including the details of the job offer, as well as human capital factors such as work experience, language ability, and level of education, upon registration.
The system is based on an Expression of Interest / Invitation to Apply system, in which the BC PNP holds periodic draws and invites the top-ranked candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this category:
- The candidate must have accepted a full-time, permanent job offer from a British Columbia employer in a skilled position (National Occupational Classification 0, A, or B);
- The applicant must meet the minimum language requirements for NOC skill level B occupations (trades and technical occupations).

Language requirements for the Skill Immigration: Skilled Worker
Canada immigration consultants in India say that there are no such language requirements for this category. You may have noticed that only candidates with a job offer in a technical or trade occupation are required to demonstrate language ability in the eligibility requirements. A minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 is required for these candidates in all four abilities: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Candidates with a job offer in a management or professional position (NOC 0 or A) are not required to demonstrate language ability in order to register. However, it should be noted that the SIRS allows for a significant number of points for language ability — up to 30, out of a possible 190. As a result, while these candidates may not be required to demonstrate language ability in order to enter the SIRS pool, they would be wise to do so. This is especially true if the candidate’s SIRS score falls below the minimum required for recent draws in this category.
British Columbia Skill Immigration: Entry level and Semi-Skilled
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category allows workers in a valid tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or food processing occupation to gain Canada PR in BC. Alternatively, certain employees in the province’s Northeast Development Region may be eligible even if they do not work in one of the listed occupations.

Eligibility criteria for Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
According to the Canada immigration consultants in India, in order to qualify for this category, you must accept a full-time, indefinite job offer (a permanent or one with no set end date) from a BC employer in a specific occupation in tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or the food processing industry OR, if the job offer is located in the Northeast Development Region, any National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill level C or D position (except for live-in caregivers).
