Teej  Festival:

Teej Festival(Hariyali Teej) is one of the most important festivals in the Hindu religion. it is mostly observed in the months of July and September (Shravan Maas Acc. to the Hindu Calendar). The Shravan is covered with a full natural green veil. In the calamity of the forest. This fast is important for Suhagan. On this day, married women visit their maternal house, and gifts are offered locally called Shringar, comprising of the indoor, bindi, churi, Mehendi, etc.  The festival of good wishes, beauty, and love is happy in the happiness of Shiva and Parvati, due to the greenery all around, it is called Hariyali Teej. On this occasion, women swing on swings, sing folk songs, and rejoice.

It is said that on this day Mata Parvati met Lord Shiva after hundreds of years of meditation. It is also said that Mata Parvati took birth 107 times to get Lord Shiva as her husband. yet the mother could not get Shiva as her husband. When Mother Parvati took birth for the 108th time, then on the Shukla Paksha Tritiya of the month of Shravan, Lord Shiva could be attained in the form of a husband.

Pushkar Fair, Pushkar:

Pushkar is a prominent pilgrimage site of Hindus, 11 km away from Ajmer. A fair is held on Kartik Purnima, in which a large number of domestic as well as foreign tourists also come. Thousands of Hindu people visit this fair. And to purify themselves, they take a bath in Pushkar Lake. Tourists and devotees get spiritual benefits by visiting Shri Rang Ji and other temples. At this time a cattle fair is also organized here, in which various programs related to animals are organized, in which the best breed animals will be rewarded.

During the fair, there is a meeting of many cultures in Pushkar. Elephant Festival, Jaipur:

Elephant Festival is held in the city of Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan at the Polo Ground in front of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which is one of the popular festivals of Rajasthan. it is organized on the occasion of Holi, the major festival of India which is celebrated with joy by the local people. During this festival, elephants are dressed up and decorated with carpets, anklets, and ornaments and taken out in a procession, followed by exciting games like elephant polo, elephant tug-of-war, and elephant race.

Rajasthan International Folk Festival:

Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) was first organized as a not-for-profit collaboration with Jaipur. Virasat Foundation and Mehrangarh Museum Trust in October 2007. The festival is timed to match the time of the brightest full moon of the year (Sharad Purnima). The chief sponsor of this festival is Maharaja Gaj Singh. The festival is organized in and around the Mehrangarh Fort. The festival provides an open stage to all musicians and folk artists from India as well as from the globe.

Around 250 artists and musicians from Rajasthan and elsewhere attend this festival. The festival is organized with the support of UNESCO as the “People’s Platform for Creativity and Sustainable Development”.  The theme of the 2013 edition of the festival was the ancient history of the Mehrangarh Fort which was selected as Asia’s best fortress by Time.

Kumbhalgarh Festival, Kumbhalgarh:

Kumbhalgarh is the second most important fort after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region in the lap of the Aravali Ranges. In the 15th century AD, the Fort was constructed by Rana Kumbha. Kumbhalgarh festival is one such event that reminds the contribution of Maharana Kumbh towards art and culture.

The event is set against the back part of fort Kumbhalgarh. it is the finest form of classical and folk dances, music shows, and art camps. Such is the popularity of this festival. The festival is divided into two sections. Mewar Festival:

Mewar Festival celebrated in Udaipur in Rajasthan State is a festival that marks the arrival of spring. It is considered the second World living Heritage festival of India. This occasion is an integral part of the culture and tradition of Udaipur. People from different parts of Udaipur enthusiastically take part in that festival. During this festival, the city boasts a colourful look.

It is celebrated along with the Gangaur festival, which holds great significance for the women of Rajasthan. They dress in very well cultural and traditional attires to attend the festivities. They perform folk dances during the celebrations to add charm to these celebrations.

This festival has a variety of traditional activities and rituals. The traditional sweet Ghevar is made to be offered to the deity and then distributed to everyone as prasad. They dress the idols of Mother Parvati and Lord Isar (Lord Shiva) and take out a procession. which travels through various different parts of the city to reach Gangaur Ghat, Pichola lake. The idol is immersed in a special boat in the middle of the lake.
