So I discovered for a while that the duties that I delegated were not being accomplished in the manner that I had hoped. After some thought and contemplation, I realise it wasn’t necessarily anyone’s responsibility; rather, it was my own mistake for not communicating my expectations clearly.

I’m great at talking with clients, but when it comes to speaking with my team, I realised that the ‘niggles’ were actually due to my failure to communicate accurately.

I’m not able to find a mentor as quickly as I’d want.

I became overly reliant on business courses, books, and a few entrepreneur pals, feeling I had everything under control until I discovered I didn’t.

Business mentors act as an extra set of eyes that keep a watch on you and your company. They bring talents, wisdom, and experience that you could not find in secondary or tertiary sources. They may be able to recognise problems and offer answers that only seasoned business owners are capable of.
