With two powerful electric motors and BMW xDrive all-wheel drive, the electrical performance of the new BMW iX is remarkable: BMW iX xDrive50 with 523 hp accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds (BMW iX xDrive40 with 326 hp accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.1 sec). Furthermore, immediately available torque and continuous acceleration from the start on the spot allow the new BMW iX to react precisely and quickly to every press of the accelerator pedal and ensure a safe driving experience.

Driver assistance systems
The new BMW iX electric car comes standard with a wide range of driver assistance systems: The Driving Assistant Professional package offers you more comfort and safety in monotonous or critical traffic conditions. Features include the Extended lane steering assistance and guidance, Emergency direction assistance and Collision lane maintenance assistant with collision warning. In addition, the Parking Assistant Plus helps you park and perform complex manoeuvres.
Generously proportioned surfaces and body lines give the new BMW iX electric car its unique monolithic shape. Every detail integrates perfectly into the modern design language and provides the car with the look of being created from a single mould. The aerodynamic design of the panels was decisive for obtaining the remarkable aerodynamic coefficient of only 0.25.
Modern technology
The Shy Tech concept focuses on passengers and allows modern technology in the BMW iX to remain in the background for as long as is explicitly required or desired. The BMW’s intelligence can be experienced in many exterior and interior details – such as the front grille, which functions as an intelligent surface and houses the camcorder, radar functions, sensors and heating elements. Other examples include the discreetly built-in audio system speakers and the minimalist design of the buttons inside.
Compared to a power-saving internal combustion engine, the BMW iX electric car emits 45% less greenhouse gas emissions throughout its life cycle thanks to a complex concept of sustainable development. All this is due to the exclusive use of renewable energy during production, natural and recycled materials.
