Why You Should Plan your Visit to Marrakech This Year
Let’s discuss some of the top reasons which will compel you to visit the Marvelous Marrakech this year. Marrakech is the center of attraction and Mecca for Travelers in Morocco. It is also known as the Red city as the city is surrounded by Red walls of Medina. Talking about Medina let’s discuss our top reason to visit this beautiful city.
Marrakech Medina
Medina is the old city or part of the Marrakech with consists of several small shops. If you love antiques and want to have local jewelry, foods, souvenirs, you will love this part of the city. There are a couple of cautions you have to take before visiting this part of the city. Make sure you keep your gadgets like a Camera and mobile in a safe place. Medina is overcrowded with local Moroccans and travels. There is a high chance that you can lose your valuables so be safe.
If you are a female and traveling there for the first time. when facing a thief, then just go to a local shop or ring a doorbell to any nearby house. Locals are accommodating and will help you no matter what, they respect their tourists and ensure your Safety. If you book you tour with Us then we will appoint you the local guide which will be with you throughout your medina experience and tell you which shop you should visit and what is the best rate for the Local Products and he even bargain on your behalf to give you the best rates. Moroccans bargaining skills are top-notch, so to compete with them, you should hire a local who knows their language and even their secret codes. So, we prefer to go there with our guides. They will guide you throughout.
Moroccan Cuisines
The foods of Marrakech are Famous throughout the world. Its variety and smell are very popular in Europe and Asia. The most popular cuisines include Tagine, Bastilla, Rifasa and Harira, snail soup. My favorite is Tagine but to enjoy it you have to book a pre-order as it can take up to 12 hours to cook tagine. If you wish to learn local cuisines of Marrakech then there are some good schools which you can enroll in. If you wish to learn the famous tagine then buy the tagine pot. Cooking the tagine is only possible if you have that pot. You can find the Pot in Medina souks. There are some local spices that give a unique taste to Moroccan food. You will also find these species in Medina souks just like tagine pot.
Djemaa El fna
The popular square circle of Marrakech is also considered as the heart and centre of Marrakech. Also surrounded by some popular buildings. The best time to visit Djemaa el Fna is at night when the square circle is full of light with full of snake charmers, dancers, and with storytellers. You can also sing along with musicians there. Before you go and take photos with them I want to tell you that you can not take pictures freely because they will ask for a dollar or two for a selfie. If you want to shop then visit the square circle in the morning because at morning you will find plenty of expensive stuff at a low rate. I would highly recommend visiting this place and learn more about Moroccan culture.
HAMMAMS
You can say hammams as traditional Bathrooms. There are many hammams in Marrakech. In hammams they use specific black soaps to refresh you. The ingredients on that soap contain Aragon oil. Aragon oil is produced in the neighboring city of Marrakech named Essaouira. Aragon oil is produce in Essaoira. Moroccans export Aragon oil throughout the world.
The Soap cleans and opens up hidden pores of the body. You will feel refresh and relax instantly. Moroccan call it steamed bath because you will be steamed before cleansing.
Majrolle Gardens
The botanical garden located just outside of Marrakech originally created by the French immegrent and artist Jacques Majorelle in the early 1923. The area of the Garden is about 2 acres. Saint Laurent purchased this property in 1983 from the widow of Jacques and worked on it with pierre Berge and open it to public. The Garden is best for a day trip from Marrakech and people enjoy their day trip by seeing Majrolee art Museam which Saint Laurent make in 1980’s and in that musueam he put Jacques Majorelle famous clothes and readings. In the Muesum there in an art gallery where you will find number of letters which Majorelle wrote to their family member and his wife but could not deliver.
The other best part of the museum is the collection of beautiful birds which are very rare in North Africa. St. Laurent is an animal lover specially very fond of Birds. The Garden is a very stunning and unique place and I can not emphasize enough to visit this place on your trip in Marrakech.
