2. Welding Neck Flanges:

   Weld neck flange is also known as a high hub flange or tapered hub flange. These flanges are like lap joint flanges. Welding neck flanges require welding for installation. This flange is a flange that is designed to be joined to a piping system by butt welding. This type of flange include lots of specification. These flanges are expensive because of their long neck. The cost of people for contact weld neck flange with pipeline or fitting but id preferred for high-stress application. The neck transmits stresses to the pipeline.

3. Socket-Weld Flanges:

These types of flanges mostly used for the small-bore lines. Socket weld flange’s static strength is equal to slip-on flanges. But their fatigue strength is 50% higher than double-welded slip-on flanges. The Connection of the pipe is done with one fillet weld at the outside of the flange.  Before welding, the space must be created with flange or fitting and pipe. The main purpose of socket weld flange is usually to reduce the residual stress at the root of the weld. This flange not allowed in some cases.

4. Threaded Flanges:

   Threaded flanges are widely demanding as pipe flanges. It used in different industrial applications. The threaded flanges also called companion flanges or screwed flanges. It uses a screw thread to connect the flange to a pipe. This is a special type of pipe flange. They can be attached to the pipe without welding. The advantages of these flanges. They can be attached without welding But these types of flanges can be fitted to pipes of various sizes without welding.

Types of Threaded Flanges:

Threaded flanges are two facing types. Raised face flange and Ring joint flange
